MARK ME progress... sorta

well, many rotations later, I finally got Inu's head angled right. Now I'm experimenting with the rest of his body.

Here's where I kinda stopped...



And here's where I'm planning on taking it (roughly sketched in)


I want lots of blood.

Tell me things like: Is Kagome's body out of proportion with her head?
I know Inu's hand and all is not in the right proportion yet but I don't have a reference pic, so I'm kinda winging it.

Alright, still working on the age thing. but look at how much better her mouth looks!! And Inu doesn't look quite so scary anymore, Kag's body is alot closer to proportion now... it's getting there *Sigh*

Well... let's see. Inu's eyes are still a little too far up and his face is... weird and mean. To be blunt, he resembles an evil vampire bat more than he does himself. Kagome's mouth (and tits, for that matter) are a little too big and her nips need to be a little more tan than pink. Hope this helps... You have natural talent, it just needs to be tightened up a little bit. :)

that's funny cuz my reference picture was of one of the Lost Boys (that delicious 80's vampire movie)

I'm not sure how to make him so demonic without looking like a freaky monster... I'm gonna keep tweaking it though.

Is Kagome's head too big or too small? I get the feeling I made her body too small...

I think if I made her mouth smaller too she would look younger. That Steven Tyler mouth is horrible lol.

I will trim Inu's arm down, I was just trying to get an idea for hand placement and size... the blood is gonna be tricky too, I've not drawn liquid before really.

Also, I agree about Inu looking kinda like a freakazoid. I'm not sure how to get him across with his demonic transformation without making him look completely like someone else. Maybe lowering his eyelids a bit and enlarging the eyes in general will help a bit. Like I told Jinxy, Imma keep tweaking it. I'm determined to make this work lol.

the whole point I'm trying to get across is that marking **HURTS** almost all the fics I've read (guilty of writing a few myself) say it's painless and so sweet and romantic, but this is a demon act that is painful for a human. I want to show the horror and the pain of it.

No prob. The eye color and sharp brows he has while not feral should suffice. Over-thinking can be your worst enemy. @_@ Believe me, I know. Perhaps a song could help; look up Don't Try So Hard by Queen. :)

Lookin pretty good. :) That's my totes unprofessional opinion, though. When things calm down here, I'm sure Izz will come back with her two cents. My only crit is my uncertainty over the shape and sticky-outy-ness of her boobs. But, again, my unprofessional opinion. :D
