OK, so I'm a drawing freak right now!! Good news though! this one has nothing to do with a baby! YAY!!!

So I'm not extremely thrilled with this piece, but I REALLY really wanted to do a pic of either Inu or Sess marking their mate. I was hoping to get some feedback and see what kinds of improvements I need to make before I get too far along here.

The marking itself: as I envision it, demon goes FERAL, not true form, and bites their mate. the four fang marks are the most prevailant in the mark, with the lesser teeth marks (the front teeth on top and bottom), and then when marking only, the tip of the tongue goes razor sharp and the biter's name is carved within the bite, kinda like an egyptian cartouche where the name is encircled.

If anyone would like to take this and work on it, I will credit you on my paperdemon acct, I don't mind colab-ing on a drawing! might be fun!

I appreciate the help despite your dislike for the pair. Of course I don't have a decent reference to go by so I'm simply sketching and trying to fill in... I feel so much more confident on paper, even though I LOVE my graphics pad. Maybe I should do it in my sketchbook first and then scan it in and finish it in PS...

OMG I LOVE that icon! seriously, that just made my freakin day!!!

Ok, as I was telling Jinxy earlier today I have only had real drawing classes like 3 times, all of them related to interior design (mostly consisting of furniture and architectural details, and of course we had a class on rendering with those alcohol based markers which I seem to have misplaced...) anyway, I have never really been great at drawing humans or animals, but taking the skills from my still life class I was able to improve on what I already can do. And I know what you mean about working big. I have a 16x20 inch sketch book from school that I drew that Sess/Kagura make out pic on and my scanner wouldn't even scan like half of it, so I had to take a picture with my digital camera. I think tomorrow I will haul that one of sess and the hanyou pup back out and try one more time on those fingers, then get this one in order.

Oh, and I want Kagome to be IN PAIN but can't seem to figure out a way to get that across... hmmm. planned on adding his claws sunk into her arm (not yet drawn in cuz I wanted what was already there to be right first) and drawing blood too. That should make ya feel a little better, to know she's bleeding and hurting by Inu's hand (and mouth) lol.

Kags isn't bad... apart from looking suspiciously like Naraku. Just feminizing her face a little more and adding some oomph to her bangs will sort that. Inu's face is a little... big. He's not an easy guy to draw, I know, and I've never tried drawing him in that state so... probably not much help there. But, if you're feeling patient, I might be able to get on and download/upload any changes I might make. Don't have much practice drawing either so no promises I won't screw it up royally. :)

yeah, same thing I just said to Izzi, I ain't got no decent reference so it's all guesswork. And I really wish I could have drawn this at a different angle, I feel like I'm getting into that Egyptian perspective where everything is done from the profile...

Believe me, I know the feeling. @_@ All guesswork, huh? That's pretty goddamn good for someone with no real formal art training. I meant to mention before how jealous I am of your skills learning to navigate PS so quickly. You'll get it sorted, just give it time. :)

Oh yeah! the whole PS thing, when I first started all I knew to do was crop and sharpen lol. And I still learn new things everyday. JUST RECENTLY did I start seriously working with layers, but that was because I used a program at school for drawing floorplans and stuff that required layers. I started farting around with layers in PS and was like WOW!!! this is AWESOME!!! And then figuring out to do overlay (adjusting the opacity and flow) oh.. I was in PS heaven. I used PS 7 forever and then when I got vista I had to upgrade to CS3, but it really isn't any different. The graphics pen is what's giving me fits... Izzi understands, about not being able to feel the drawing.

That drawing pad was the greatest godsend for me. I can't tell you how many times I used to curse my drawings and bitch that I wished I had an undo key and a save function. Now I do. ^_^
