Shamelessly ganked from
seatbeltdrivein , who's ganked it from someone else I'm certain XD
1. Which is your favorite fic?
Well, because I write so many different fandoms, it's hard to pin down ONE favorite. I think I should answer this by fandom:
FMA: Home Sweet Home (Ed/Win) glorious virgin PWP.
InuYasha: The Heaviest Weight (Koga/Kagome and heavy Sess/loli!Rin) Had the perfect mix of adventure, violence and romance.
Rurouni Kenshin: Forgive Me (Ken/Kao) Angsty retrospection on Kenshin's part, but perfectly in character.
Mushi-shi: Sakura in the Spring (Ginko/Io) The perfect scenario for my favorite Mushi master.
2. Which is your best-received fic?
Dolls (InuYasha, Sess/loli!Rin). I hate this story, but for some reason the fangirls dig it. I like the first chapter, but after that it was so completely forced and dumb sounding to me. The second to last chapter is full of unbelievable and poorly written sex in my opinion, and was my first crack I think at beastiality... *shaking my head for ever writing it past the one shot stage*
Now the fic that's on the most Communities lists on ff.net is also and InuYasha fic called Who wants to Live Forever. I don't like this one as much as I liked the prequel, Hot Summer Night (which is the second highest community favorite)
3. Which is your worst-received fic?
Tag: Sengoku Jidai Style. (InuYasha) I think it was because of how I had it listed.
4. Which is your angsty-est fic?
One of These Days. (InuYasha) Sess goes from being a guy who hates his job to falling in love with a hooker who does heroin and when she dies of an overdose his brother and father ridicule him to the point that he's driven to murder them both and then commit suicide. Thank you Pink Floyd for the inspiration that night XD
5. Which is your funniest fic?
hmmm... Of Love and Elephants (FMA) was pretty good. Deeply Rooted (IY) was pretty good. Fullmetal Exhibitionist was pretty laughable! Hard to say which was the best!
6. Smuttiest?
Oh dear god it was Lessons Well Learned (IY). Was written for One True Cast and it had Miroku, Sango, InuYasha, Rin, Shippo, and DOGFORM!SESSHOMARU in it. Good times :)
7. Fluffiest?
there are some entries in Kisses Sweet and Sultry (FMA) that are pretty fluffy, some entries in My Miroku Drabbles (IY) too... Girls Will Be Girls and Brand New from Rurouni Kenshin fandom are pretty fluffy.
8. Have you ever made someone cry with a fic?
Who Wants to Live Forever (IY) got a lot of crying responses. So did Redeemed (IY) where Rin is brutally raped as a child. Poppies for Sango (IY) was a tear jerker for me to write, because I killed off Miroku and had a damn panic attack (or 4 or 5) while writing that section.
9. Which fic frustrates you the most?
Dolls (IY) See #2 for why.
10. Which fic was the most fun to write?
Flashbang (FMA) XD And The Braeda/Christmas (FMA) fics So Crystalline and Back in the Black
11. Who is your favorite OC you've ever created?
Keiji (IY). He's Sango and Miroku's second son, born after Kosuna (another OC), who was born after their canon son whom I call Kichirou. He's featured in the fics Simple Men and Traditions in the Miroku drabble collection.
12. Are you better at oneshot or multipart?
One Shot. I can't get myself organized enough to do anything longer than that really. But the few multiparts that I've finished have been pretty good.
13. What character do you think you're the best at portraying?
IY: Miroku hands down. I know him better than he even knows himself I think. And I think we're a lot alike (I dunno if that's good or bad XD) In FMA it's Al. I think all the work I put into By the Light of the Xingese Moon and trying to keep everyone in character was good for learning him. Rurouni Kenshin: Sanosuke Sagara. A lot like Miroku but with a dash of cocky added in.
14. What character is the most difficult to portray?
In IY, I have a horrible time writing Sesshomaru, even though a lot of my fics have him in it. Most of getting him right is his imperial speech pattern, but even though I keep trying I feel like I'll never get him right. In FMA I have a hard time with Riza. Even had a reviewer once tell me I was completely off and needed to pull down the fic I posted. I was heartbroken. In RK it's Yahiko, prolly because he's a kid and changing throughout the series.

Date: May 4th, 2011 07:34 am (UTC)On #14, I use to have a hard time with Riza too, but she had gotten easier for me after I practiced writing more fics in her POV. If you want, I can look over your fics that has Riza in it and I can let you know if you did her right or not. :)

Date: May 4th, 2011 03:11 pm (UTC)That's very sweet of you to offer for me, and you certainly can give me some pointers (I'll take all the help I can get!!), but I can't ask you to sacrifice your time like that! I don't want to be a bother.

Date: May 4th, 2011 04:16 pm (UTC)I actually read Ladders and The Perfect Length a while ago (back in November/December)and I enjoyed them. XD For The Perfect Length, I don't think you did Riza totally wrong. Maybe a few things needed to be revised and that's it.

Date: May 4th, 2011 12:59 pm (UTC)Man, seeing everyone talk about their fics makes me wish I knew more about other fandoms (and had more time to read - my backlist is HEINOUS). Fullmetal Exhibitionist was definitely hilarious. I was literally covering my eyes and going OMG ED YOU MORON XD
I am so not surprised that you've written bestiality. Man, I wish you were in the HP fandom. Your kinks would be so accepted LOL!

Date: May 4th, 2011 03:18 pm (UTC)Most of all my weird kinks are in the IY fandom XD Sadly I know little to nothing about HP, and not really interested in it honestly. I never could get into it, even though I watched most of the movies.
