Personally, it's the first one. In the dub, Miles says it like the 3rd one and that got me to wondering how others pronounce it. I love languages, how they sound, how they feel in my mouth, it's a hobby, don't judge me lol.
Here's somethign else about languages and FMA and all I was thinking about: The Attack on Ttian live action movie isn't featuring Levi (one of the main frekaing characters) because the V sound is hard for the Japanese to say. That little tidbit led me to thinking- what if Resembool (or Risembool) was supposed to be Resemville/Risemville (and then what if was meant to be Resenville/Risenville??) and Cow made it that way because she couldn't say 'ville'?
I should go to bed now.

Date: July 30th, 2015 05:51 pm (UTC)Wow, what a reason not to feature a character in a movie! (couldn't they just avoid saying his name? Japanese is good at that) That's definitely an interesting thought about Resembool! If there were any other towns named like that, I'd want to make up some reasoning that 'bool' was the 'ville' of the Amestrian language. It certainly seems like it could have that sort of name construction.
