2014 Happiness Jar moments

I have a jar in my house that sits on my altar, and whenever somethign happens that makes me smile or laugh or generally makes me glad to be alive, I write it down on a slip of paper and put it in the jar, and on Yule, I open the jar and recall all the wonderul stuff that happened ont he longest night of the year.  This list is everything that happened, in no particular order.

• Warm weather has returned at last!


• Working out regularly for the first time in years and LOVING IT


• 9/26/14 saw a sun halo today! It was only a partial one but it was like seeing a rainbow cut in half!


• GOT A FREE JEEP! Can’t believe it!


• SESS/RIN IS OFFICIALLY CANON!!!!!


• With Joey finally wiping his own butt (with NO help from me) the Potty Training Journey is, at LONG LAST, at an end ♥


• GOT OUR TAX REFUND!!!


• Snuggling with Ellie ♥


• 8/14/14 Started my weight loss journey. Dr. Jacobs endorsed my decision for sleeve gastric surgery


• Wrote 4 children’s stories and have an illustrator on board. Now to publish them!


• Spent our 10^th anniversary exactly how we should have- Japanese food and a walk at the park without Joey. We even saw a snake!


• Went to the Y to workout, put Joey in the Sunshine Room, and he didn’t cry and I actually got an entire workout in! Weight loss imminent!!


• Got everything on my list done, Cliff took care of dinner and a big load off my mind about the house taxes. Great day despite my bad foot.


• SO Thankful for the Salvation Army and the anonymous saint who chose Joey’s name from the Angel Tree.  Also thankful for the surprise $25 Kroger card


• Joey being healthy again!


• 1/1/14- I may not have met my weight loss goal for 2013, but I’m starting the year in a size smaller pants! Anything I lose this year will be a victory!


• Conquered epinephrine at the dentist! SO AWESOME!!


• Finished my FMA Big Bang- ON TIME! And despite writer’s block!


• Wrote my first children’s book and am serious about publishing it!


• I discovered every time I look at this jar I smile. I love that! ♥


• 8/19/14- I’ve never felt as beautiful or cool (at least at this weight) as I did when I saw my Madame pictures.  I look so pretty and so bad ass! Sharon did a great job! ♥


• Working with Sammy on Celestial Ciphers is always so awesome.  I’m grateful for her friendship even if she is on the other side of the planet.


• 7/15/14 Had the most romantic encounter with Walt ever. Absolutely beautiful.


• Losing 13 pounds in a month has given me hope. Maybe this time it will STAY OFF!


• BIG BANG FINISHED! POSTED! YAAAAY!!!


• I met a person at work who helped me make some contacts for publishing my children’s books!


• Painted faces at Joey’s school and it was awesome!


• Got to talk to Sharon twice this week, for over 2 freakin hours! Happy happy joy joy


• Chose a hospital and a surgeon for my WLS. It’s going to happen- I am gong to be a healthy weight in less than 2 years


• Spent about $20 and got over $60 worth of stuff!  Bargains are awesome!


• 11/20/14- FOUND THE KISS FOLDER YAAAY!


• Survived my stress test and didn’t even panic about it! AND she ordered me to eat a cheeseburger!


• (at Fazoli’s) A random stranger told me I had the prettiest face and that I was rockin’ my shaved head like no one’s business!


• 8/7/14 Sharon took my pro shots of Madame and Kaede and we had an awesome day together!


• Joey knows his address!


• Found a free cat tree house in junk pickup and Flop loves it!


• Joey broke my crappy camera and I got it replaced in under a week for only $1.42!


• 2 free disco balls! You just can’t beat that!


• New couch! FREE couch!


• Got the living room painted despite every setback and it looks great!


• A new Happy Jar! So exciting!


• Joey’s going to have the same teacher he had last year!


• So thankful for the friends I have who have never seen me in person, but treat me as if we talk everyday ♥
