Pink is a kink but you don't tell her! (or something like that...)

MEME TIME!!!!!

So this one come from missyquill, who got it from someone else (hmm, sounds like chickenpox!).  She gave me the color pink and I have to tell the entire interwebs 10 things that I think of when I think pink.  These are in no particular order and may be a little naughty XD

1. Sweetheart roses.  These are the little rose blooms that you sometimes see in grocery stores to keep as a houseplant.  My stepmother kept them when my dad and her first married and I just thought they were adorable.
2. Pussy.  Let me explain XD  My grandmother was a very outspoken person, always saying whatever she had on her mind at any given time.  One time we were going someplace and we passed a very pink house.  It was totally out of place and I said 'Why would someone paint that house that ugly shade of pink?  That's like... pepto-bismal pink.'  She turns to me and says 'Pepto-bismal isn't that dark, that's Pussy Pink.'  Yeah, I love my grandmother to pieces and wish she was here.  (She was buried in a pink casket, which was NOT Pussy Pink)  ETA: There was also a 'Titty Pink', which was like a cross between a pale peach and a pale pink.  Gods I love my grandma :)
3. Cotton candy at the state fair!
4. The pink of a puppy's belly when they sleep (it gets pinker the longer they sleep, it's true!  And as they age, the pink fades to tan then brown)
5. A penis just before ejaculation.  C'mon, you knew I was gonna go there.
6. Tiny baby girls in frilly little pale pink dresses.  And they have to have the little matching headband and satin shoes! *ultimate squee*
7. The pink of someone who's been in the sun and has 'sun on their face'.  Usually it's from playing so long and not caring about how long you were having fun.  A mark of a great summer day!
8. My bathroom before I painted it.  OMG it was the most disgusting shade of pink, and EVERYTHING was that same color.  The towels, shower curtain, bath rugs, EVERYTHING was that color.  like a pink monster puked everywhere.  It is now a warm yellow with dark brown trim and the shower curtain has every color in it so I can use any color towels and rugs. 
9. My first real piece of jewelry- a pink ice ring.  It was a vivid bright pink, tear drop shaped, set in a 14k gold filigree band.  I scratched the shit out of the stone and eventually sold it for the gold value.  My dad bought it for me at a flea market for $20.
10. The fashion show I was in when I was in the 1st grade.  Students were chosen based on their grades and we were taken to K-Mart to pick out different outfits because our school was teaming up with K-Mart to open a store in the school.  You earned points based on your grades and it worked like tickets at Chuck E Cheese.  You could spend them or save them up for bigger items, even clothes.  I had originally picked out something blue and beyond frilly with lace and tulle and satin, but the principal's granddaughter also chose that dress, so the teacher I was with chose a pleated skirt with a blouse and jacket in a pale pink, white patent leather shoes and purse and a bright pink umbrella with white hearts on it.  I wish I knew where the picture was I'd attach it!  And in hindsight, the outfit I ended up with reflects me better now.  That blue thing... LOL I guess it's a good thing I don't remember the specifics of it, I'm sure I'd want to puke XD

I had to edit this to add that there's also a titty pink. Yes, she was totally like the Madame when she was alive.

Giggling the whole time reading this! So many of these things I would think of too! When you said pink, I immediately thought of pink skin from a puppy! Your grandmother sounds awesome! Cotton candy, definitely! That one is must for the color pink!

And I forgot to mention there is also a shade of pink that she called 'Titty Pink', which was like a pale pink/peach color. This place called Mid City Mall is 'Titty Pink' XDDDD

My grandma was so awesome. When she passed away, her youngest sister told me a story about how when Grandma was dating in high school, she swore she would never date any guy who drank. So one night she was on a date with this guy and he pulls a flask out of his jacket and offered it to her. Supposedly she told the guy he should drink her share because he was going to need it. He asked why and she KICKED THE WINDSHIELD OUT OF HIS CAR.

I miss her like crazy. She died of breast and skin cancer, and she refused treatment for both. She said she wasn't going to keep the best nap of her life waiting any longer than necessary.
