5 things that need to make a comeback

A meme stolen shamelessly from my counterpart missyquill!  I have to admit though, it's gonna be hard to decide on ones that she didn't already choose, like politeness and music.  I'm gonna try my best though!


1. WiFi free restaurants.  This drives me out of my fucking mind!  You go to a restaurant and everyone is on their smart phone checking their email, updating facebook and uploading a vid to youtube.  It's a restaurant! Chat with your friends and EAT!

2. Phones that DON'T have touch screens.  When I'm on my phone and I hear that vibrating sound because my ear is starting like 25 apps while I'm talking to my mom, that pisses me off.  And on my phone, I can't delete the apps I don't want.  And they update automatically and now I'm almost out of space when I don't even use half of the stupid apps.  GRR.  I want a dumb phone again!

3. The days before Supercenters.  Remember when you went to a grocery store for food and a retail store for clothes?  There's something about buying my clothes and food in the same place that I don't like. Like I don't want a package of new underwear lying on top of my ice cream.  Makes me think that my ice cream will taste like ass or something.  I know it's supposed to be convenient, but it's just weird to me.

4. FREE AIR at the gas station.  I don't know what fuck face decided it would be cool to charge a fucking DOLLAR for five minutes on the air compressor at the gas station.  People don't freaking carry cash in this country anymore, so if you're gonna charge a damn dollar for air, put a credit/debit card reader on the damn thing!  I'm lucky that there's ONE gas station near my house that still has free air.  I went inside and thanked them for it too.

5. 3D comic books.  Just because they're really cool.  In fact, I propose that Marvel comics do a complete redeux of FMA in 3D.  THE WORLD NEEDS THIS.

1. I'm actually on the fence about this. I can safely say I do not ignore the people I eat with in favor of my phone/laptop but being the internet junkie that I am, I like the idea of wifi being available wherever I am, just in case I need it. And I do need it on the rare occasions when we're on "family dinners". It's either secretly read fic under the table or listen to my dad. :(

2. Well, I have a touch screen but it isn't Apple and I lock the screen every time I'm on the phone so it doesn't do anything I don't want it to. I don't like Apple products in general and when my brother asked if I wanted an iPad a few months ago I was like "no thanks". My PC and laptop works fine for me. And I'm a Samsung girl at heart. XD

3. *shudders* This makes me glad I don't do the grocery shopping.

4. Money for AIR? For real?

5. THIS! THE WORLD NEEDS THIS X 2!

OMG how can I set my Samsung phone to not go crazy when I talk on it?? I just looked through the settings and couldn't find anything :(

Change your screen lock setting to a minute (or thirty seconds lol). That way, the phone will always lock when you aren't using it and when you're on the phone, as long as your ear doesn't hit the three key combination that unlocks the screen, you can talk as long as you like without worrying. XD

ETA: I'm not even surprised we both have a Samsung phone. XD

I have the the pattern lock thing on but I still 'ear app'. Oh well. And I liked my blackberry much better.

For the record, I have never gotten to choose my own phone, Walt always chooses it for me, and it drives me fucking crazy.
