I thought of Madame Christmas when I read this

The Chicken Ranch's last madam, Edna Chadwell, passed away today.  This was the brothel that inspired the musical and movie "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas".  Her nephew says of her: "She was a hard-nosed lady. She was very straightforward, didn't put up with no monkey business, no nonsense.  Hard-nosed. But with a spine of steel and a heart of gold."  Sounds just like our Madame doesn't it?
