cornerofmadness who gave me the letter M. (I will save the first one who came to mind for the end XD)
1. (Roy) Mustang: This is his last name but who better to begin this list? The man seems to be living his entire life to make it so others don't have to survive what he did. Arakawa never says what happened to his parents and theories abound as to what happened, when he joined the Hawkeye family, etc. But I get the feeling that whatever happened to him as a child made him resolve to do whatever he could to make sure no other kid had to deal with the same kind of situation. Then when he got older and discovered alchemy, he decided to use it as a tool to help make those dreams come true. Then those dreams turned to helping all of his fellow countrymen. Despite how he portrays himself (an arrogant smooth talking womanizer) he is a good hearted and I think troubled man. I could go on but suffice it to say he's a very deep character that you almost have to stud to truly understand.
2. Misao Makimachi: I'm not sure if Watsuki ever says how Misao came to be in the care of the Oniwabanshuu, but it's apparent from the beginning that she's destined to be a skilled warrior, if not rough around the edges for a young lady. She is an emotionally strong person, sly and always thinking around corners. The depth of her attachment to Aoshi and her patience to wait for him to come around to seeing her as a woman and not a child he used to care for speaks of her maturity too. She could certainly throw herself at him but she realizes he needs time to recover from the deaths of his squad and the schooling Kenshin gave him in Kyoto. Imagine my happiness when I saw that Watsuki had given them a canon marriage 8D
3. Maka Albarn: I like Maka- she smart, (mostly) kind, friendly and an all around ideal girl. But I want to smack her when she gets snippy with her dad. So your dad can't control his sexual urges. He chested on your mother too many times and your mom left. But can't you see that he loves you? Can't you see that he's trying to be the dad you want him to be? Maybe you should talk to him and be honest with each other. Tell him how angry it makes you when he's flirting around all the time, tell him you are angry that his actions caused your mother to go away. Only when you both lay all your cards down will you be able to heal and have a normal relationship. I think you both deserve to move past the pain and find some kind of happiness between you. (Especially when you and soul make him cute little grandbabies.)
4. Mugen: OMG what's not to love about Mugen?? Wait don't answer that. He's loud, brash, impulsive, dumb as a bag of hammers when it comes to reading and math, but he can read people and situations like a pro. A self taught bad ass with a filthy mouth, he'll do whatever for a good meal of a couple of bucks. He teases Jin relentlessly about his sexual orientation, teases Fuu all the time, but despite all that and knowing he could leave at any time, he doesn't. For whatever reason, Mugen seems to have found some sort of family with the other two and he doesn't run immediately off. He's an oddball to be sure, and I like him because he's Chaotic Neutral.
5. MIROKU: The love of my anime life. He's (mostly) honest, kind, a pervert (like me!), the perfect blend of book smarts and street smarts, subtle and respectful, always observant and charming. It's hard for me to get all my thoughts in order when it comes to Miroku. His tragic past and his quiet desperation with Sango just make me ache. Like, he realizes that Sango is THE ONE for him, and he really tries hard after he asks her to marry him to not fuck up what they have. He knows he's one grab ass away from making her call it off, and it's almost like a test in faithfulness for him. And he comes through with flying colors in the end. When it comes to his cheating people for lodgings and food with his exterminations, I think he actually DOESN'T take advantage of his 'victims'. Other people would have asked for that plus money. Sharing food and giving a man a place to sleep for the night is fair trade I think. InuYasha accuses him of being a swindler at times, but he keeps his family fed. I didn't fall head over heels for him though until I saw Final Act and witnessed Daddy!Miroku. ♥♥♥♥♥ That scene where he's holding the twins' hands and walking and singing with them OMG!!!
I almost put Mao Jahana, Milly Thompson, Mellow, and Mori-senpai.

I generally love this man for being so awesomely ac centric and I even love him more from fandom, his perverseness and the made up history with Madam Christmas. I think the man is very intelligent and was one of the first to catch on to the Ishval extermination campaign being just that because he was on the fast track to General ship when that happened. His troops were taken out of the Ishval regions and troops from central who were not geographically or mentally suited for such terrains were sent in to escalate the tension further rather than letting Grumman deal with it and do his balancing act.
I also love that he beats Roy at chess and is a royai shipper! <3
Genna Frey (nee Lannister) from Ice and Fire: Okay, this is one lady I adore and she shows every day that you do not need to be pretty, rich or married to a great House to be awesome (I don't consider the Frey House great, just... very crowded). Not only is she Tywin Lannister's sister/cousin (I think) but she married an effing Frey and made it work. She has the guts to say what she likes and her line to Jaime about Tyrion being his father's real son had me rooting for her like a rabid fangirl. Her Lord Husband she keeps on a nice tight leash and knows more about politics and ruling than he ever would. A Lannister among the Frey's, and she makes them look good, all hundreds of pounds of her.
Gai-Sensei from Naruto: This is one of the most lovable and hilarious characters I've ever read/watched. Seriously, his million dollar smile would put any model/starlet to shame and every time he talks of the power of youth/passion of youth and such, i keep finding secret dirty messages in it. Maito Gai gets a thumbs up from me EVERY TIME. Kishi, if you kill him, I will stop reading, I swear!
Greg "the tosser" Walterson from the Chocolate Run: Yes, he's from a book so he counts, even if it is not a series. I just really like the way the author, Dorothy Koomson develops him throughout the series. From the serial shagger who has kept Durex in business for the last five years tot eh sweet guy who's been so deeply hurt only to fall for a girl who won't commit to even growing tall, let alone a relationship. I love koomson's work even though she isn't very famous. I find her ability to weave emotions into something so real, you could touch it if you try very admirable.
Gin Ichimaru from Bleach: Can I say please take me on a table somewhere, NAO! I remember his first appearance in the rescue Rukia arc and I thought "damn he's a Slytherin", meaning exactly my type. XD
I haven't kept up with Bleach because they were dragging the fake karakura town battle too much but I hear he's been faking being on Aizen's team and shares some history with Rangiku. To which I say YAY. Not because he's good but because now he won't be likely to get killed. I mean, that's why Ulquiorra died, didn't he? Because he was on the "wrong side". Fuck you, kubo! Ulquiorra was the best character you ever wrote and you killed him off because he made your Ichigo with his power ups look like the carrot topped pussy that he is! And that Orihime reference, talk about adding insult to injury.

So yeah, Gin, to sum up, is sexy and he knows it! :D
