Am I supposed to be this emotionally invested in this already!??!?  Like omg, I'm playing as Braeda on the make for Madame with RPer who plays Madame, and the conversation I'm having with her... When did I switch genders and BECOME Braeda??  Like I'm so worked up and nervous because HE'S worked up an nervous!  And she gives the best damn answers and he gets all excited and I'm like SOOO happy for him when it's an answer he wants and I WASN'T PREPARED FOR THIS!!!

Nope,this is normal with RP play--I have RPed heavily when I was in Pern fandom, where we RP'ed nightly for hours since the Pern Weyr was a real-time game environment. As long as everybody plays nice and knows when the game is over and doesn't let it bleed over into RL and get creepy, have fun! My personal experience in Pern RPing was super intense for years in a real-time-environment game--haven't done it in about 12 years, although I do enjoy occasionally writing one character to play off another writer's character in challenge-type fics--Cheryl and I have had great fun with her Roy and my Ed going up against each other (ex: The Great Amestrian Poetry War from five or six years ago--that was hillarious!)and her Roy has encouraged me to write some of the craziest crackfic and songs I've ever come up with!

I just wasn't expecting to have so many feels with this. It was experiencing fandom in a whole new way. I love it!

It's easy to get into RPGing. It works well for me in RL but it never did online so I stopped.

hahaha, I'm an old school D&Der. I've been doing it since the early 80s.

On line I always end up in the group that self destructs with friends no longer being friends at the end. Every. Damn. Time
