good things

A while back I'd posted something about being worried about taking my water pill because it said to stay out of sunlight and of course being me with the panic disprder I assumed that meant I'd get skin cancer and croak.  Turns out it just makes me more susceptible to sunburn.  A little sunscreen and I'm good to go!  Also, the federal government was going to garnish my wages in order to get about $2,000 toward a student loan from me.  I sent them a ton of papers saying that doing that would cause financial hardship for my family and I got a letter yesterday saying they were suspending the order for at least a year and possibly longer because we fall well below the poverty line.  While I hate being poor, I'm glad the gov't isn't willing to make me even poorer.  In potty training news, Joey's doing the pee thing really well so long as I don't put underwear or training pants on him.  I think that's partly because he's not very good at getting them up and down on his own.  But as long as he's bare-assed, he'll run to the potty each and every time, even if we're outside.  Pooping on the other hand has been a real challenge.  He's pooped in the floor several times, but today for the first time he told me he had to go and he was really doing his best to hold it in.  He also let me know he wasn't ready to poop on the potty yet, but that he would hold it until I got a diaper or training pant on him.  Sure enough, I got him in some pull-ups, he went into another room for some privacy, pooped and then came and told me he was finished.  This is HUGE because even when he wore diapers, he would never tell me if his diaper was full.  He would leak and sit in his own stink if we couldn't tell he needed to be changed.  (BTW, baby shorts are really good at concealing how much load is in a diaper... sheesh!)  I got a raise at work! And I should be getting another one in August!  I'm so excited!!  And apparently I was the only person in the store besides one other out of like 15 employees that got anything over ten cents.  I got almost 25 cents and should get another 15 cents in August.  We're getting ready to move to a new store like REALLY soon (May 10) and I'm getting as many hours as I can take plus more money for them.  I'm saving up for the big con in September.  Going to a small con on April 27th in Lexington.  It's completely free!  I don't remember if it's called the Bluegrass Otaku or Kentokyo....  In either case, Cliff and I are going to go nerd it up and I can't wait.  I'm gonna wear my Rockbell t-shirt :D

Boston friends, I hope you're all doing okay.  I've been keeping up with Lux's posts and I'm relieved you guys are alright.  No place is safe anymore I guess.

Anyone else getting this goofy weather?  Two days last week it was so hot I had to turn the air conditioning on, then it was so cold I had to flip the furnace back on.  Now it's hot again and will be cold once more in a few days.  WTF Mother Nature???  Take a xanax and chill the hell out!

Oh, forgot to add- got a free bra from work the other day.  Wow, when my boobs sit where they should I feel like I can motorboat myself.  And this one has padding in the bottom so my H's look like freaking J's.

I have a really good recipe for peanut butter cake if you want it.  I had to tweak the frosting recipe but it's good as well, something you could make and put on chocolate cake.  Here's a link to the recipe with awesome pic of the final results! ... I just spent 15 minutes cleaning up baby poop out of the floor and putting a little Pea into the bathtub...  It's a process, what can I say.
