Today's Goodwill find!

I'd been hoping to find a whole set after finding some cups to a different set a few weeks ago.  And magically enough, just after I'd grumbled to myself- "Man I wish I could find a complete set up here..." I rounded the corner and there it was.  Someone somewhere was looking out for me.  Paid $2.50 for it!  Also got a brand new pair of jeans for $3, a book about dreams (because we all know I have some crazy shit going on in mine...) and got Joey a pair of jeans too.  Great night at the goodwill for sure.

Cindy came in town today.  Her foot is so screwed up and she's still not working.  She told me today that if her doctor on Friday tells her she'll be out of work for too much longer, she's just going to get her stuff and move back home, and that means Joey will finally get his own room and maybe I won't have to jam every single thing into one room.  I'm also looking forward to Joey sleeping in his own bed and own room...  Don't know how long it will take to get him used to it, but it HAS to happen.

No luck on the job front.  I called the woman on Monday, she told me they were getting ready for a corporate visit (my store just had one last Thursday so I understand the stress) but I am staying on her back about it.  I seriously don't think it's in the cards for me to have a decent job.

I cannot wait to unveil seta_suzume's birthday present!!!!  I've worked so hard on it that it's hard to wait until the 18th to post it!  She asked me for a drawing of Scar and that baby girl I'd been writing about.  When I first drew the baby I stunned myself because I'd drawn my sister's face to a T.  It looked so much like her that I had to draw it again because it was unsettling XD  Suffice it to say that rebuilt Ishval is a beautiful place and Scar's new family is just perfect.  Little Scar-daughter has a name now, and I intend to write about it very soon.  I don't think missyquill will like it, but I'm naming her Sumaya. :P

OMG InuYasha- The Final Act!!!  You're giving me so many feels it HURTS.  I saw the subs but I adore Kirby Morrow's performance as Miroku.  I don't wanna spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it, so I won't, but Mir/San feels man! uggggh...  I don't wanna get back in that fandom, they're mean over there, but I could easily fall back into it right now.

Do you ever read a fanfic and weep because they write so much better than you?  I did a lot of that today.  The writer does Royai and greedlingfan better than anyone ever in the history of ever.

and yes there is always a better writer out there than you. (it stings when you read one and learn the author is like 14)

missyquill is barely alive right now. She's working so much and the one job at the university is making her babysit 2 classes that she doesn't know anything about. I got to talk to her on the phone for 2 hours on Sunday and she's just so bogged down in work. And I think it's valentine's day over there, she said there were lots of heart shaped cupcakes everywhere the other day. I'll remind her to check her messages.

I'm afraid to find out how old that author is. every now and then I write something brilliant, but this person wrote consistently awesome stuff.

All the dang time. :( Sometimes when I try to write I break down thinking my work will never be as good as theirs. I tend to compare myself to others too much. (Curious, what is the author's name? I think I might know who you're talking about).

Being on my phone I can't recall it so easy because she had several aliases. If you go to ff.net and search fma for ling fan, she wrote a fic titled "Zeal ". In the fma fic contest her author tag was rawles I think. I found her ao3 but I need to be on the computer to share it

Ah, I recognize that username (she changed it to peri_peteia a while back). I remember that fic entry and I know four other Roy/Riza fics she did. Yeah, she's pretty good (I'M SO JEALOUS WANT WRITING SKILLS LIKE HER ;_; ). Haven't read Zeal yet, I'll check it out when I get the chance.

Yes! Every time I read things by zauberar_sirin, kittu9, mebh_me, firefly, sixpens and a few others. They embody royai in ways I cannot even begin to explain. Reading their work makes me realize how infinitely inferior I am to them. *cries*
