May I pick your brain?

I've been intrigued by your love of this pairing for awhile now and have been meaning to ask: why all the love?

Not a bad thing at all. I'm just genuinely curious when I see so much love for pairings I never would have considered before.

well, it started out as complete randomness in order to fill a prompt at the fic contest. I knew I was gonna use Madame, but I just randomly picked Braeda, though I could have picked Falman or Fuery just as easily. After that fic, I wrote another one to fill a prompt, and got to liking their dynamic together, but at that time I'd only planned on them being friends/business partners with benefits. It just kinda snowballed. I put Braeda with Madame initially because I figured he'd be the only one smart enough to know that a madame is the most experienced woman in the brothel, and he would want his money's worth (which I have stated in that universe he actually pays her triple what she would normally charge Grumman, because he is expecting the quality of her services to be greater than any other in the house).

Now, I mostly love them so much because they really do go great together. His intelligence and ability to cut through bullshit to take care of business makes him a good match for Chris. They both have sharp minds and great observational skills, and are great judges of character. They're two of my favorite character who didn't get enough screen time (I think Madame's TOTAL screen time is under 10 minutes). Maybe it's subconscious: I look a lot like Madame and my husband looks a lot like Braeda. All the problems we have between us- maybe I'm writing them as wishful thinking for my own love life. Also... I'm fat and they're fat and I like that we can all be fat together XD

It's funny because I have a pairing for InuYasha that is just as non conventional: Kohaku and Sesshomaru's mother. They only meet 1 time in canon and. I have this elaborate universe built up around them, and children too.

And some of these I'm a little nervous to even doodle... like making out! I know I'm gonna end up making it horrible lol

I found a fan manga on pixiv and it was about her wondering why inu yokai males seemed to be drawn to human females and she was thinking out loud about wondering if it was the same with a human male and a female inu yokai. So I cropped the 2 best images and colored the one. At first I thought of it as a crack pairing, but the more I thought about it, the more I liked it, so I wrote it down and eventually gathered a following just for them as a couple. One of the IY contest comms all jumped on the bandwagon XD
