The day actually began yesterday, sort of.  I came home from work, excited as hell to have an actual weekend off.  Joey was napping, things were hunky dory, and then Joey woke up and he was blazing hot and whining (not screaming as is the norm lately).  I take his temp with the ear thermometer, which is NEVER accurate.  It said his temp was 101.7.  I thought I better get the rectal thermometer because if the ear one is that high I can't imagine what he really is.  Turns out it was 103.5.  I gave him some ibuprofen, which was good because the waiting room was backed up and we waited about 45 minutes just to be seen by triage.  Finally get him in a room and they give him acetaminophen and by the time he saw the doctor his temp was down to 99 something.  Joey's godmother has been telling me for weeks that he's got a double ear infection or something major wrong, because obviously toddlers don't go through a screaming stage (/sarcasm).  Anyway, his ears are clean, perfect even, and his belly was soft (which I guess is a great thing) and his throat looked healthy.  She said it was likely a 24 bug just working through and to give him lots of water and rest and ice pops.  No prob.  We go get some Wendy's and come home to watch the thunderstorms and go to bed.  Oh, and I discover I have to reformat my fucking computer, so hubs watched Caillou and Thomas the Train with him while I backed up files and tried to reformat this thign by myself.  I went to bed at 1 am after having ZERO luck.

Joey woke me up at 5:30, then we watched Looney Tunes until he was ready to go back to bed, and then we slept until about 11.  My mom came over and we had some leftover fried chicken (Joey ate quite a bit of that, so good deal!), he drew a picture for her company picnic contest (all the participants get a gift card to Target, and the winner gets a $50 one).  After she left, Walt woke up and we decided to get some Little Caesars because he had a coupon and we could all eat for like $8.  I can't find my wallet.  I look everywhere for about an hour and then he insists it will turn up after I get some food in my belly and have a chance to stop panicking and really think about it.  Food didn't help, only made me more nervous and depressed. When we came home I started going through the garbage and cleaning up as I went, checking and rechecking and making myself sick over it.  I called the hospita lost and found twice, called Wendy's twice- no luck.  Finally I pulled my husband's bed out from the wall and there it was between the box spring and the baseboard, along with an Iron Man figure and a matchbox car.  I can guess how it got there now lol.  So now I'm trying to enjoy a cherry vodka flavored coke and some Dove chocolate (dark chocolate raspberry swirl YUM) and get ready for Toonami, but Joey is screaming at me and pulling my arms.  I think I'll put this hellion to bed now.

Glad you were able to find your wallet! A couple times I almost lost my wallet and would be very upset, but then not long after I find it heh. And yum, Dove chocolate (only chocolate I got around my house are brownies haha).

Yay for finding your wallet! I've always been amazingly fortunate when it comes to losing important things. Once a zip on my bag was left open and my wallet fell out on the train but someone saw it (I didn't even notice) and chased me out to my station to return it to me. They had to wait a few minutes to get back on the next rain and get to their station.

Another time, I was sure I'd lost a diamond earring and was going hysterical because it was my mum's (and I'd kindasorta taken it from her without asking). We had been to this huge mall that day and it could have dropped out at any of the million places were stopped by but luckily it came off in my friend's car and he found it when turning the mats that night.

I have no idea why I've always been lucky but I hope I haven't jinxed it now. XD And wait to go Joey, all grown up and taking mommy's wallet. He makes me so proud! <3333

Pass the vodka!

I'm always freaking out when I misplace my wallet-- unfortunately when I lose mine, there is no toddler to blame, just me :) I'm glad you found yours!
