Need some help with cosplay ideas

So Cliff and I are gonna go to the anime convention in Sept and we're trying to decide what we're gonna cosplay so we can get a head start on our costumes.  I have a Madame Christmas costume that just needs to be sewn up, just her coat.  But he wants to go as Kenshin because he actually owns a reverse blade sword (that or Uryuu from Bleach)

My question is this: any heavy women in either series?  I don't recall any, but it's been a while since I've really been into either series.  I thought about making a giant Kon costume (wouldn't that be the fuckin' shit!??  Walking around like perverted Kon!??)  I'm willing to go as a heavy dude if they have a cool outfit...  Help a chubby out.

btw, I'm still gonna rock the Madame costume, but I have a feeling I'll be going multiple days.  Of course that depends on whether or not Vic and Todd are there the same day or not.  If they are, then I'll only go once.

Also, if Cliff goes as Kenshin, we might dress Joey up as Kenji!!

honestly not that I remember but I would check to see if they allow any kind of edged weapons in because some places do not allow it.

This is a new con (one of 3 finally in Louisville!! And Minogna and Haberkorn are gonna be there *insert fangirl squee here*) and I think they are still trying to decide whether or not to allow actual weaponry. I don't think I remember any heavy women from either, but it sounds like you and Cliff will have a lot of fun going together!

It would be really cute to have Joey dressed up as Kenji. (Last year at Anime Expo there was the cutest little boy dressed Alex Armstrong [oh, found a picture])

if he had brown eyes, he'd go as one of Roy and Riza's kids but those baby blues won't let that happen XD

ACTAULLY, hw could go as Alex... I'm trying to teach him how to curl his arms up and do the muscleman pose XD I thought about doing Kaede from InuYasha (because I've always anted a pair of hakema) but Cliff doesn't know anyone from InuYasha except for Sesshomaru and Miroku, and while he could LOOK liek Miroku, he couldn't RP as him because he's too shy, and I don't want to look at my brother figure the same way I look at my anime lover XDDD

I don't know about heavy women but you have the cleavage to pull of Rangiku. Heck, I would kill to see you in a black shinigami outfit with Rangiku's pink modifications. XD

Cliff can be Kyoraku. You know, fellow perverts/drinking buddies. XD

I'll try and see if I can make it there by September. If I do, I'm bringing my Winry outfit with me. I've only ever cosplayed as Chi from TRC. Or, if you dress up as Chris, I'll be Vanessa or one of the other girls. Maybe I'll find a Falman to take a picture with XD

Unfortunately, Cliff is about as opposite of Kyoraku as possible. If anything, Cliff is like Ukitake (and I would be his Kyoraku best bud XD) OMG YOU'RE COMING TO VISIT!?!?!?!?!?!???
